Ethan Weiss

For 3+ years I've maintained this site to chronicle the life of my son and my best bud, Ethan. It has truly been a labor of love from day one.

On November 6th our family grew and Ethan became a big brother when his baby sister, Sydney Danielle, was born.

As attached as I have become to my main man E and this site, one of the most important things for a brother and sister to do is…? That's right — SHARE!

So, I will continue to chronicle the life of Ethan, but now we'll have another star of the show – Sydney. And with that, we're moving to EandSyd.com where all the milestones, photos, good news, and good times can continue to be shared with our friends and family.

This site isn't going away — I'll keep it 'as is' until Ethan is big enough to decide what he wants to do with his "home on the web". But I do hope that one day he'll be able to look back at this as a true diary and memoir of his first 3 years of life.  Just a small gift to him, love dad.

On November 6th at 12.09am, Ethan became a big brother!  His baby sister Sydney Danielle was born – weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and 19 inches long.

Ethan has been a super helper and a great big brother.  When Sydney came home on Sunday he sprung into action and immediately helped get his baby sister buckled into her bouncy seat…

We're a little late with the update as we've been busy welcoming Sydney home, but you can find additional press coverage on the birth of Sydney at Lana's website and Hudson's too…

Since we watch the movie Cars at least 3 times a day, it was only appropriate Ethan went dressed as Lightning McQueen this year…

"Open up!  We know you're in there and we know you have candy!!"

Yesterday Ethan, Dad, Zayda, and Grammy went out to get Pumpkins for Halloween.  Zayda asked Ethan what color pumpkin he wanted and Ethan promptly responded "Blue!".  Believe it or not, we found a (partially painted) blue one.  Ethan also told Zayda and Grammy he wanted to get a pumpkin for Baby Sister – which he's proudly showing off here…

On Thursday we celebrated Ethan's actual 3rd birthday!  Here you can see Ethan blowing out the candle on his homemade banana bread cake that he helped make with Mom.

We asked Ethan how old he was and he said "5".  He's 3, but it's understandable…he had a birthday party 2 weeks ago with all his friends, then a party in school on Thursday, then this celebration at home — so 2 years old plus 3 parties does equal 5…

We celebrated Ethan's 3rd birthday a couple of week's early this year.  Baby sister is due to show up any day now, so in case she rolled in around E's birthday on the 22nd – we decided to have the all campus rocker this past weekend…

And what better place to do it than Kids U — this place was awesome.  Look at that jungle gym…

Ethan and his friends ran around like animals, played in the gym, and had some Mickey Mouse birthday cake (not pictured) – compliments of Nana A.

When we went home – we had all the A-list grandparents over the house and Ethan opened up all of his presents.  They were all great – but the crowd pleaser was definitely Ethan's 1st real guitar from Nana M and Poppie.  There's only one way to rock…

Coupled with a big win by the Giants, it was a great weekend…

Today it was our neighbor Brian's birthday party and we went to Elmsford Raceway to do some slot car racing.  Ethan "McQueen" had a blast and took home a 2nd place and 3rd place ribbon for 2 races.  Not bad for a rookie…
